Notary Public
Official documents often require notarization (signing by a notary public). A notary public is an individual appointed by the state to verify the identity of the person signing a document primarily. The Ramsey Police Department, the Community Development Department, and the Administration Department at City Hall provide this service. Citizens will be asked to provide a valid, government-issued ID and to sign the document(s) in person. It should be noted that staff cannot advise on the contents of forms or documents, nor can they notarize original birth, death, or marriage certificates.
If you need a document notarized, stop by during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and we will be happy to assist you.
The fee for this service is $5 per notary stamp.
