City Improvement Projects

Over the last decade, the City of Ramsey has made significant improvements to its roads through a long-term Capital Improvement Program (CIP). During this time, the City has reconstructed 32.21 miles of roads, which accounts for 16.9 percent of its total road network, and has overlaid an additional 24.61 miles, representing 12.9 percent.

The proposed CIP, which will be executed through 2035, aims to reconstruct a total of 47.40 miles of City streets and overlay an additional 25.38 miles.

Funding for these street reconstructions and overlays primarily comes from Pavement Management Funds, which are part of the City’s general tax levy. Additional funding sources include Municipal State Aid Funds, Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Funds, Public Improvement Revolving Funds, and Storm Sewer Utility Funds
