Carol-Rose Acres & Sports Haven Reconstructions IP 26-03

April 24, 2025

A proposal for geotechnical services and topographic surveys was awarded to Bolton & Menk, Inc. for the Carol-Rose Acres & Sports Haven developments. A letter was mailed to the residents who will be affected by this work. 

July 1, 2026

On Tuesday, June 30, the city held a pre-construction meeting with North Valley, Inc., the contractor performing the improvements. Work is currently proposed to begin the week of July 20. A letter was sent to residents with more detailed information on the schedule. Read the fifth update letter. 

June 24, 2026

On June 23, the Ramsey City Council awarded a construction contract to North Valley, Inc. for this project. A letter was mailed to the affected property owners. Read the fourth letter update.

The City has scheduled a pre-construction meeting with the contractor for Tuesday, June 30. More information, including a detailed schedule, will be available following the meeting.

May 15, 2026

On May 12, 2026, the City Council approved the final plans and specifications and authorized city staff to advertise for bids. Read the third update letter.

November 12, 2025

Please note that the public open house is scheduled for Thursday, November 13, at 5:30 p.m. This will be held at City Hall in the Alexander Ramsey Room.

November 5, 2025

A public open house will be held at City Hall for those affected by the upcoming project. Read the second update letter. 

August 5, 2026

The contractor is currently scheduled to place the first lift of new pavement on Friday, August 7, weather dependent. Please make sure to park all vehicles in your driveway and give trucks, the paver, and rollers plenty of space to complete their work. Once the rollers have finished, the pavement may be driven on. This generally takes 15-20 minutes from the time the paver places the material.

July 31, 2026

Weather dependent, the contractor will finish hauling gravel on Friday, July 31.
During the week of August 3, the contractor is proposed to tolerance gravel and, later in the week, place the first lift of new pavement.

July 20, 2026

The contractor will reclaim (grind up) the existing pavement and aggregate base on Thursday and Friday of this week, July 23-24. Following reclamation, the contractor will compact the material, and the surface will feel similar to driving on a gravel road. Please be aware that there may be localized delays of several minutes as the equipment moves past driveways and adjacent streets.

July 17, 2026

This week, the mailboxes have been moved to accommodate the upcoming project. The week of July 20, erosion control will be set up. Pipework will take place on Monday, causing temporary road closures.
