Business Appreciation Day and Golf Tournament

The Economic Development Authority (EDA) recognizes one outstanding local business each year as the “Ramsey Business of the Year.” The annual late-summer celebration features a golf tournament, dinner, prizes and a special award presentation honoring the selected business. The Business of the Year is also recognized at EDA and City-sponsored events and highlighted through City communications throughout the year.

RM Golf Carts Named 2026 Ramsey Business of the Year

The City of Ramsey is proud to recognize RM Golf Carts as the 2026 Ramsey Business of the Year. Since opening in Ramsey in 2007, owner Mark Kaufman has grown the business from a garage-based operation into a trusted destination for golf cart sales, service, rentals and customization. RM Golf Carts offers new and used carts, parts, service and rentals while also creating unique specialty vehicles. With five employees and a growing facility, the business continues to expand alongside demand for golf carts in recreation, business and specialty applications, and recently reached another milestone by purchasing the property it operates on from the City of Ramsey. Mark credits the company’s success to hard work, customer service, education and staying connected with customers through trade shows and social media.

Each year Ramsey’s Economic Development Authority selects a local business to receive this award based on its exemplary standing in various categories. The Business of the Year award is presented at the Business Appreciation Golf event in August. Watch for RM Golf Carts to be the Grand Marshal at the Happy Days parade on September 12, 2026.
