This project proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Hall-Anderson Acres (except TH 47 frontage road), Oakwood Hills, and Rambosek Red Oak Estate subdivisions, generally located west of TH 47 to Wolfram Street between 159th Lane and 160th Lane. The streets are 24-foot-wide rural sections, totaling 2.25 miles in length. Drainage is handled through street crossing culverts and drainage swales adjacent to the roadways, which generally carry stormwater runoff to existing wetlands throughout the subdivision.
At this time, we do not anticipate any stormwater or soil correction improvements for this subdivision, other than replacing existing street crossing culverts. We will explore this further during project design and review of the geotechnical report. The reconstruction is proposed to be a full-depth reclamation (FDR). We will also explore this further during project design. Because the existing street section is below our current design standards (3.5 inches of bituminous over a 6-inch aggregate base), we will likely need to over-excavate the subbase material to create space for the new pavement section.
Municipal utilities do not exist within this subdivision, which is outside of the 2040 MUSA.
Capital Improvement Project-level project costs are $1,606,182 ($1,396,680 Pavement Management Funds, $209,502 Storm Water Utility Funds).
