During the week of August 25, the Contractor sprayed the boulevard areas for weeds. Seeding started on Wednesday, September 3, and is anticipated to take two days to complete.
August 26, 2025
The contractor had to push back the weed control to tomorrow, Wednesday, August 27. Please keep kids and pets off the sprayed areas in the boulevard for 24 hours. The contractor will also smooth the boulevards where the silt fence was removed.
August 22, 2025
On Friday, August 22, the contractor mowed the boulevard areas, and weather permitting, will spray for weeds on Monday, August 25. Please keep kids and pets off the boulevard areas for 24 hours after spraying. The contractor is proposing to seed the boulevards the week of September 2. If you have an irrigation system, please mark your sprinkler heads.

This project is considered to be substantially complete.
July 24, 2025
Douglas-Kerr Underground will be spraying weed control today. Please keep kids and pets off the grass for 24 hours.
July 18, 2025
To date, Douglas-Kerr Underground LLC has completed the seeding within the project area. The seed can take a few weeks to germinate. City representatives will continue to monitor the project’s progress.
July 1, 2025
The contractor is re-installing mailboxes on Tuesday, July 1. On Wednesday and Thursday this week, the contractor will finish hydro-seeding the disturbed boulevard areas. The contractor will also continue to work on landscaping in the coming days. The final lift of pavement is scheduled for July 10 and 11, weather permitting.
June 10, 2025
The contractor is scheduled to pave the driveways within the Fox Ridge project area on both Wednesday and Thursday this week.
June 6, 2025
During the week of June 9, the contractor will mobilize, replace the topsoil and finish the residential driveways. Once this is complete, the final lift of blacktop pavement will be placed.
June 3, 2025
To date, the contractor has finished all concrete work and has placed the first lift of pavement. No work on-site is scheduled for the week of June 2. During the week of June 9, the contractor will begin backfilling topsoil behind the curb and gutter and replacing blacktop driveway aprons.
May 23, 2025
Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC will finish up the gravel tolerancing this week. Beginning Tuesday, May 27, the first round of paving will take place. This will take approximately 2-3 days (weather depending). After the road is paved, paving of driveways will be the next step.
May 5, 2025
During the week of April 28, the contractor completed the soil corrections, removed all existing unsuitable material beneath the pavement section, and replaced it with clean sand. The concrete curb-and-gutter placement has started as well.
During the week of May 5, the contractor will continue placing concrete curb and gutter and will begin placing the concrete driveways. If there are no setbacks, this work should be complete by the end of this week. The remaining work for the week will include removing the driveways ahead of the concrete crews and site clean-up.
April 25, 2025
This week, the contractor finished the storm sewer and rip rap throughout the project. Soil corrections have been ongoing and are scheduled to be completed next week.
The week of April 28, the contractor will prepare for the curb and gutter, as this is scheduled to start on Thursday, May 1, or Friday, May 2 (weather permitting). Please be prepared to avoid driving on the new concrete curb and gutter for one week. It is recommended that residents move their vehicles onto the street before May 1, before the curb goes in.
April 22, 2025
Through the week of April 14, the contractor will complete all tree clearing and set up all silt fence and erosion control devices. The contractor has finished storm sewer replacement on 173rd Avenue, Tungsten Street and Sodium Street. The mailbox posts have been removed, and the temporary mailboxes have been set up. The driveways have been saw-cut; this saw-cut line is where the new driveways will match in. Pavement reclamation has started, weather permitting; it is expected to be complete by Monday, April 21.
During the week of April 21, the contractor anticipates completing the storm sewer replacements. The grading crew will begin working on the soil correction areas on 172nd Lane, 174th Avenue, Quicksilver Street, and Sodium Street. The soil corrections will take the entire week, and most likely continue into the week of April 28. Additionally, driveway removals are scheduled for this week. If the weather holds, grading on the non-soil-correction areas may begin in the last week of April, with concrete curb and gutter starting as soon as the first week of May.
