Dog Show

Join us for the Happy Days Dog Show. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your furry friend and connect with other dog enthusiasts. Armstrong Ranch Kennels generously sponsors this event. 

Registration

Registration is required for this event, which includes a small goodie bag. Walk-ups will be accepted as space permits. 

At registration, select one category for your dog to enter

  • Best Dressed: Dress up your dog in their most creative costume. Coordinated dog-owner costumes are allowed.
  • Top Trick: Give your dog their moment in the spotlight to show off their best trick. 
  • Silver Snout: Celebrate the golden years! This category is for dogs ages eight and older. 
  • Cutest Puppy: Let their cuteness speak for itself. Open to puppies under one year. 

Registration typically opens a few months before Happy Days.

A panel of judges will evaluate dogs based on overall presentation, category expression, and uniqueness/creativity.  

The following titles will be awarded:

  • Best in Show: Overall Grand Prize
  • The People’s Pooch: Crowd Favorite
  • 1st place in Best Dressed
  • 1st Place in Top Trick
  • 1st Place in Silver Snout
  • 1st Place in Cutest Puppy

Safety and fun go paw-in-hand! All dogs must be leashed and managed by an adult. Remember to clean up after your furry friend and ensure they are well-behaved. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required for participation.

  • Only one dog per adult handler/owner.
  • Participants must handle their dogs with a properly fitted collar and leash.
  • Participants must pick up and dispose of their dog’s waste in the on-site trash cans.
  • If a dog acts aggressively towards other people or dogs or poses a safety risk, it must be removed from the event.
  • Owners release the City of Ramsey, Happy Days volunteers, judges, sponsors, observers, or participants from any liability.
  • City of Ramsey staff, Happy Days volunteers, judges, and sponsors reserve the right to ask any person and their dog to leave the Happy Days Dog Show anytime for any reason.
  • Owners must provide veterinary records to verify that the participating dog is up to date on vaccinations for Adenovirus, Distemper, Parvovirus, and Rabies. A screenshot on your phone is acceptable.
  • Owners must provide a phone number and the location of their current vet.
  • Owners must certify their female dog is not in heat at the time of the event.
