Water Rebates
The City of Ramsey has been awarded funding through the 2026–2028 Water Efficiency Grant Program.
This rebate program is available for qualifying purchases made on or after July 6, 2026.
The City of Ramsey has $11,000 available for rebates through this grant program. Rebate funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until all available funds are exhausted.
Before You Buy
Before purchasing an eligible product, please keep the following requirements in mind:
- Products must be purchased on or after July 6, 2026. Purchases made before this date are not eligible for a rebate.
- Verify that the product is EPA WaterSense®-labeled or ENERGY STAR®-certified. Only qualifying products are eligible.
- The new product must replace an existing fixture or appliance. Rebates are not available for new construction or new development projects.
- The product must be installed at a property served by the City of Ramsey municipal water system.
- Funding is limited. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis while grant funds remain available. Purchasing an eligible product does not guarantee a rebate.
Program Overview
The City of Ramsey is excited to offer a Water Efficiency Rebate Program for residential, commercial, and homeowners association (HOA) property owners who complete eligible water-conservation improvement projects.
This program is funded through a grant from the Metropolitan Council, made possible by the Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment. The program encourages water conservation by reducing demand on municipal water systems.
The City of Ramsey is offering rebates for qualifying EPA WaterSense® and ENERGY STAR® certified products purchased between July 6, 2026, and June 30, 2028, or until grant funds are exhausted, whichever occurs first.
Eligibility and Approved Devices
Before purchasing a new device, verify that it is either:
- EPA WaterSense® labeled; or
- ENERGY STAR® certified.
Only products listed by the EPA are eligible for rebates.
Eligible products include:
- ENERGY STAR® Dishwashers — Up to $200 rebate
- ENERGY STAR® Clothes Washers — Up to $200 rebate
- WaterSense® Faucets — Up to $200 rebate
- WaterSense® Toilets — Up to $200 rebate
- WaterSense® Showerheads — Up to $200 rebate
- WaterSense® Smart Irrigation Controllers
- Residential: Up to $200
- Commercial/HOA: Up to $700
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a current City of Ramsey municipal water customer.
- Have a water account in good standing.
- Purchase and install an eligible WaterSense® or ENERGY STAR® product between July 6, 2026, and June 30, 2028.
- Replace an existing toilet, showerhead, dishwasher, clothes washer, Faucet or irrigation controller.
- Install the replacement at a property served by the City of Ramsey municipal water system.
The following are not eligible:
- New construction
- New development projects
- Products that are not EPA-certified
Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is exhausted or June 30, 2028, whichever comes first.
Rebate Amounts
Single-Family Residential
Eligible property owners may receive a rebate equal to the purchase price (excluding sales tax and installation/labor costs), up to:
- Dishwasher — Up to $200
- Clothes Washer — Up to $200
- Toilet — Up to $200
- Showerhead — Up to $200
- Smart Irrigation Controller — Up to $200
Commercial and Homeowners Associations (HOAs)
Eligible property owners may receive a rebate equal to the purchase price (excluding sales tax and installation/labor costs), up to:
- Dishwasher — Up to $200
- Clothes Washer — Up to $200
- Toilet — Up to $200
- Showerhead — Up to $200
- Smart Irrigation Controller — Up to $700
Applying for a Rebate
Rebate funding is limited, and applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis until available funds are exhausted or until June 30, 2028, whichever occurs first.
Rebates are not guaranteed. Applicants are encouraged to verify that funding remains available before purchasing eligible equipment.
Applications must include:
- A completed rebate application form.
- A copy of the purchase receipt.
- A photo of the existing device being replaced.
Complete applications and all supporting documentation must be submitted to the City of Ramsey by June 30, 2028, provided grant funding remains available.
